NO PEANUTS NO WORRIES Patisserie was born from the need
for cakes - for our son.
In 2003, at the age of 18 months old, our son was diagnosed with anaphylaxispeanuts & nuts allergy. Since then, we are on a constant guard when it comes to every food
our son eats.
We discovered that there are allot of products out there
that are safe for him, but there was always that one problem - THE CAKE.
Birthday parties, afternoon BBQ at friends, buying a cake for the weekend... the desserts were always a problem.
Not being invited to kids birthday parties, not being able to share birthday cakes in class with his peers, not being to go with mum & dad to have cake in a Cafe - all these have led to the idea of a peanut and nut free cake shop.
Having a husband who is a very experienced pastry chef
(more than 30 years in the industry, used to own and operate an Italian cake shop in Sydney) helped, and NO PEANUTS NO WORRIES, a
Patisserie that is "clean" from peanuts and nuts, was born in 2008.
We can now enjoy quality cakes and cookies whenever we feel like
it, and we are happy to hear that children and
adults with anaphylactic peanuts & nuts allergy can enjoy our cakes too.
BUT - our cakes are not just for those who have nut allergy. Our high quality cakes (mainly Italian cakes) are for... whoever likes a good quality cake! The fact that there are no peanuts and nuts in our cakes does not change the taste. Our cakes still contain cream (dairy), eggs,
wheat (gluten), Chocolate (high quality chocolate) and many more ingredients.
All of NO PEANUTS NO WORRIES ingredients are checked and there are no nuts/peanuts and no nuts/peanuts traces.
The fight, the concern, the protection of our son's life
is an ongoing thing, every day, 24 hours a day. But when it comes to our cakes
& cookies - we know we can eat them with our eyes closed (and mouth full).
